Zhenya joined the PNL in July 2019 as a research assistant. She graduated from Boston University in 2019, where she studied Neurobiology and Psychology. During her time at BU she worked at the Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders, assisting on a variety of projects including classification of depression and anxiety disorders and completing her thesis on the relationship between obsessive-compulsive disorder and substance use. Additionally, she worked at the Kantak and Man Labs, studying cocaine addiction in a rat model and investigating associated neurobiological changes in glutamate pathways.
