Research
Sylvain Bouix is currently the holder of the Canada Research Chair in Neuroinformatics for Multimodal Data at the École de technologie supérieure. His research focuses on the development of open neuroinformatics resources to better manage and analyze large multimodal datasets for the study of psychotic disorders and mild traumatic brain injuries. He is also contributing to the development of new medical imaging methods, particularly for the analysis of brain morphometry and structural connectivity.
A graduate of the University of Technology of Belfort-Montbéliard, Sylvain Bouix obtained a Master’s degree from the University of Kansas in 1998 and a Ph.D. from McGill University in 2003. From 2003 to 2022 he continued his career at the Psychiatry Neuroimaging Laboratory at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, before joining the École de technologie supérieure in Montreal in 2022.
