Shape Analysis

Project Description

ShapeAnalysis

The left amygdala-hippocampal complex is on the left in purple, while the mirrored right complex is in yellow in Panel A. Panel B shows the overlap of the two structures in a slightly different rotation.

Our group is also interested in the development of new techniques to better characterize brain morphometry, including Poisson’s equation (Haidar et al., 2006), the Laplace-Beltrami Spectrum (Niethammer et al., 2007), Level-set based Shape Morphing (Riklin-Raviv et al., 2014), and methods specifically designed to study the geometry of white matter fibers (Savadjiev et al., 2012). In recent years, we have also led an effort to evaluate and validate different shape analysis techniques (Gao et al., 2014).
