Parsa is a medical graduate from Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, Shiraz, Iran, doing his PhD at Melbourne Neuropsychiatry Centre, The University of Melbourne, Australia. In his PhD, he’s working on brain structural changes in psychosis and neurodegeneration using a novel neuroimaging tool, qualitative susceptibility mapping (QSM) MRI, which reveals iron and myelin alterations in the brain. At the PNL, he will extend his PhD projects by focusing on T1/T2 ratio imaging, as an indicator of brain myelin and iron changes, in individuals with early psychosis.
