Holly graduated from the University of Virginia in May 2020, where she double-majored in Psychology and Cognitive Sciences with a Neuroscience concentration and minored in Women, Gender, & Sexuality. At the University of Virginia, she worked in the Exercise and Sports Injury Concussion Lab, where she assisted with research studying concussion diagnosis and recovery. As a research assistant, Holly conducted two studies investigating the influence of hormonal contraceptives on concussion outcomes in female collegiate athletes and one study analyzing gender differences in concussion recovery. While at UVA, she also shadowed a Clinical Neuropsychologist at the Neurocognitive Assessment Clinic. She hopes to ultimately pursue a graduate degree in Clinical Neuropsychology to assist those affected by brain injury.
