Dr. Holinger has been with the PNL since January 2009 and her primary research is in Schizophrenia. With a specific focus on brain lateralization and gender, she has studied the schizophrenic brain at several levels of inquiry using technologies that include: (1) Event-Related Potentials; (2) MRI; and (3) Postmortem Neuronal Measures. Another area of research for Dr. Holinger is Williams Syndrome where she has measured cortical neurons in the primary visual and auditory regions of the postmortem Williams brain. Dr. Holinger’s expertise in these areas of research and their methodologies and technologies has extended to her teaching “Brain and Behavior: Research Methods and Technologies,” a Psychology course in the Harvard University Summer School.
