Arghya Pal is a PostDoc Fellow in the Psychiatry and Neuroimaging Lab (PNL) in Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School (Harvard University). He is working with Dr. Yogesh Rathi, Associate Professor, Harvard Medical School, Harvard University. His primary research areas include MRI reconstruction under low data and limited supervision, generative modeling, transfer learning and domain adaptation. He is also interested in Machine Learning challenges in going beyond generic perception that can conveniently generalize to novel computer vision tasks. Prior to joining the PNL, he completed his PhD at the Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad, India (IIT Hyderabad) with thesis title “Beyond Full Supervision” under the supervision of Dr. Vineeth N Balasubramanian, Associate Professor, Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad, India. He shortly worked as an External Research Advisor in Monash University with Prof. Raphael Phan and Prof. Wong KoSheikh at School of IT.
Arghya is the recipient of the prestigious Intel PhD fellowship from 2016-2020. He is a recipient of Excellence in Research award at IIT Hyderabad, and a Gold Medal (First Class First) in his Masters of Technology program at Goa University. He has published many cited papers at top-tier venues such as CVPR (2 papers and one Oral), ICML, WACV etc. He is a reviewer of different top conferences such as CVPR, ICLR, NeurIPS, ICCV, AAAI, WACV and journals such as TPAMI. Arghya served as a Departmental Representative of the Computer Science & Engineering Department of IIT Hyderabad in the year 2016-2017.
