Twishi graduated from Worcester State University in May 2021, where she majored in Biology with a Pre-Medical concentration. Before WSU, she attended Howard University for her Bachelor of Science in Biology. At Howard University, she isolated a mycobacteriophage population using host bacteria Mycobacterium smegmatis as well as extracted and annotated its DNA. At WSU, she participated in the Drosophila Insulin Pathway Gene Annotation Project, for which she annotated the Chico gene found in signaling and metabolic pathways in the Drosophila genus. Twishi hopes to pursue a medical degree as well as a doctorate degree in Computational Neuroscience. She joined the PNL in November 2021.
