Brigham and Women’s Hospital Congratulates Members of the Psychiatry Neuroimaging Lab for New Grants
June 2014: Drs. Matha Shenton and Marek Kubicki are congratulated in Brigham and Women’s Hospital’s Psychiatry Monthly Newsletter for grants awarded to them in 2014. Dr. Shenton’s grants will investigate acute and chronic traumatic brain injury and chronic traumatic encephalopathy, whereas Dr. Kubicki’s grant focuses on schizophrenia.
May 2014: “Ban Heading in Youth Soccer”, by Derrick Z. Jackson, Opinion in Sunday Boston Globe article where Dr. Inga Koerte and Dr. Martha Shenton are cited for their research in reporting alterations in white matter in elite soccer players who have experienced subconcussive blows to the head but not concussion. April 2014: Jonathan Duskin (Boston University, ’15), was one of twenty-five undergraduate neuroscience majors at Boston University to receive funding through the “HHMI Summer Lab Experience” scholarship. The stipend will allow him to continue his work on Multiple Sclerosis with Dr. Ofer Pasternak throughout the Summer.
