Hazhar Sufi Karimi received his B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Sahand University of Technology in 2012, and the M.Sc. degree from Tarbiat Modares University, Iran, in 2014, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Kansas State University, USA, in 2020. His Ph.D. research was focused on compressive sensing theory with application in smart distribution systems. Hazhar officially joined the Psychiatry Neuroimaging Laboratory in January/2020 as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow working with Dr. Yogesh Rathi. His broad research interests include statistical signal processing, estimation theory, control theory, machine learning, and medical image processing. At the PNL, Hazhar focuses on tractography and developing novel computational techniques to understand brain structure.
