Alana joined the PNL in February 2023 after graduating from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, where she double majored in Neuroscience and Psychology and minored in Spanish. At Trinity, Alana worked in a cognitive psychology lab studying the effects of rumination on memory, before transferring to a behavioral neuroscience lab investigating the effects of oxytocin on drug-seeking behavior in rats. She then spent a semester abroad in London working with a cognitive neuropsychologist, where she assisted in the creation and validation of memory and executive function assessments, as well as aiding in the publication of a neuropsychology textbook. Ultimately, Alana plans to pursue a doctorate degree in Clinical Neuropsychology or Clinical Neuroscience following her time at the PNL.
